Milton “Tony” Blue, 95 passed away peacefully, January 23, 2019. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Ashland City, Tennessee. He was born in Bosque County, Texas in 1923 and is survived by his loving wife of 681/2 years, Melba Morris Blue. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Jesse and Nora Blue, and five brothers and five sisters. He has one surviving sister, Edna Blue Whitney of Quincy, MA. Even though they had no children, they claimed their nieces and nephews as their own.
Tony was a Navy veteran of World War ll and served aboard the USS Clinton. He worked in the pipeline industry for 60 years and they have traveled to all 50 states. Tony was a huge football fan. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans. He was dearly loved and widely respected. He will be affectionately remembered for his quiet and loving spirit and generous heart. He was and always will be shining beacon of light that will lead us all to be better people for as long as we live.
Pallbearers will be Charles Beard, Anthony Casamo, Dr. Alex Huff, Tim Martin, J.T. Martin, Ron Mayo, Morris Mayo and Lewis Winfrey. Honorary pallbearers are Ethan Beard, Wayne Blue, Hudson and Maddox Casamo, Will Huff, Clayton Martin, Andrew and Tanner Stuart, Don Beshears, Randy Moon and the Elders and Deacons of the Ashland City Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life will be at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, Tn 37015 with Bro. Mike Fox, Bro. Jim McGuiggan and Bro. Drake Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24th from 2:00 pm till 8:00 pm, and on Friday the 25th from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm.
