Theodore Jesse Shade

Theodore Jesse Shade, age 83 of Ashland City, TN, passed away at his residence on Monday June 8, 2020. Mr. Shade was born in Bellefonte, PA on May 10, 1937 to Raymond Shade and Mamie Walker King Shade. He was a graduate of High School plus 3 years of college. Theodore served his country in the Navy for 23 years. He retired as E9 Chief Petty Officer. Following his time in the Military, he worked for many years at Public Works as a building inspector in Norfolk, VA. He is preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Michelle Garner; brother, David Shade. He is survived by his Mother; wife, Nina Shade of Ashland City; three granddaughters, Tania McFarlan of Dickson, TN, Alyssa McFarlan of Pleasant View TN, Makayla Shade of Ashland City, TN; One grandson, Jesse Paulson of Clarksville, TN; Great-grandson, Daniel Mann of Dickson, TN; three sisters, June Swope, Margaret Bechdel (Frank), Sandy Lannan (Jim) of Pennsylvania; One brother, Bill Shade of Florida. Visitation will be held Saturday June 13, 2020 from 11-1 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care of Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN 37015.
