Thelma Jean Gordon

Thelma Jean Gordon, age 87, of Ashland City, TN passed peacefully on April 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born on May 23, 1931 to the late Virden and Mattie Barnwell of Crossville, TN. Thelma was a member of the Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy at Ashland City. She loved her church, family and friends.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Gordon; and her brothers Leonard, Mitchell, Julian and Bill Barnwell. She is survived by her children, Sue (George) Creech, Brenda (Gary) Cornstubble, Sheila (David) Dutton, Robert (Cindy) Gordon; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Irene Cannon, Otella Simmon, and Joyce Lawson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Boyd Funeral Home from 11 am until 8 pm, and again on Friday, April 26th, from 12 pm until the time of service at 2 pm with Pastor Don Lovvorn and Pastor Richard Lovvorn officiating.
