Shirley Gay Garris

Shirley Gay Garris, age 67, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at
Centenniel Medical Center in Nashville. She was born February 25, 1954 in Chillicothe, Ohio,
the daughter of the late Guy Leonard Osborn and Dorothy Louise Dever Osborn. Shirley was a 
devoted mother and wife who enjoyed caring for her family. She will be remembered as the mom who went on so many school field trips, was an amazing cook, who enjoyed painting, crocheting and other such arts and crafts. Everyone was always calling her and asking her to make something different for them and she enjoyed every minute of it.  She loved caring for her many cats and watching the hummingbirds from her porch. She will be deeply missed and left to cherish her memory is her husband Larry K. Garris; her daughters Heather Schofill (W. Chad) of White Bluff, TN; and Shannon Estes (Vincent) of Nashville. Also surviving are sisters Patricia Sue Zicker and Diana Lynn Gunter of Austin, TX. Shirley is blessed with 3 grandchildren, Dalton Lee Schofill, Tabitha Priscilla Schofill and Andrew “Cody” Estes.
