Sylvia Sue Brown

Sylvia Sue Brown, age 79 of Ashland City, TN passed away at peace knowing she was going to be reunited with her husband, Jim Brown, on Saturday April 19, 2019 in Nashville, Tn. Sue, as she was known,  was born on July 6, 1939 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late Roy and Lela Mae (Moore) Welch. She loved her friends and family very much, but also pies and southern cooking. Sue is survived by her son Kevin (Olivia) Brown, of Pleasant View, daughters Anita Kay Wilson and Shelia Fay Morris, both of Ashland City, brother J.W. (Ruby Jean) Welch of Lawrenceburg, sisters Dorthea Ellis of Lawrenceburg, and Barbara Gail (Robert) Busby of Summertown, TN. Sylvia had seven grandchildren, Jenny, Candice, Sarah, Logan, Blake, Katherine and Braden and nine great grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews, which she adored, her friends in the ‘Ashland City Church of Christ Widows’, and special friend Louise Burney Dozier.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Brown, Jr, sisters Mary Nell Bowden and Wilma Jean Bowden. Visitation for Sylvia Sue Brown will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, TN. 37015, on Monday April 22^nd, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm, with Bro.
