Shawna Lynette Scarborough, 45 of Hermitage, TN passed away on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Nashville, TN under the attentive and loving care of The Residence at Alive Hospice. Shawna was born October 18, 1973 to Jim Scarborough and Sheila Rose (Dyer) Scarborough. She is survived by her parents; sisters, Tiffany (Tommy) Widener and Jaime (John) Gailey; brother, Aaron Scarborough; nieces, Shayla Gailey, Lela Gailey, and Faith Gailey; and nephews, Jordan Widener and Brody Widener.
Shawna was one of God’s children who are placed on this earth to fulfill a calling very different than most. Although she could not take care of herself, she was quick to care for others through the light God placed within her heart as she shared her joy and excitement for life in her smile. Unconditional love was always inside of her, and that was evident to all who knew her. She will be remembered for that love, but also her endurance and strong-will to stay with us till her last breath!
Visitation for Shawna will be at Cofer’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 3915 Franklin Pk, Nashville, TN 37204 on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5pm up until the time of service at 7pm with Pastor Allen Pointer officiating. Burial will be held at 10am on Thursday morning, November 8, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1150 Dickerson Rd., Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203. Arrangements by the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015. 615-792-4677 www.boydfh.com
