Milbourne L Miller

Reverend Milbourne Miller, age 104, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born in Assyria Center, Michigan on September 30th, 1917 to his parents Glenn and Dora Miller into a family of 17 children. . He married Wilma Burkert in 1948 and shared 47 years together raising eight children. He was an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God for more than 50 years. During his lifetime Reverend Miller pastored churches in Michigan and Georgia. He attended Gateway Church in Ashland City, TN and later Family Hope Church in Pleasant View, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents and 15 siblings as well as his wife, Wilma, a daughter Mary Joyce Drake, and sons Phillip Miller and Stephen Miller. Remaining here to cherish Reverend Miller’s memory are five of the eight children, Mark (Shari) Miller of Ellijay, GA, Renee' Miller of Aurora, CO, Nathan (Linda) Miller of Joelton, TN, Sarah (Keith) Williams of Dalton, GA and Paul Miller of Carterville, GA, and daughters-in-law Debbie Miller and Lois Miller as well as many family members and friends. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Officiating the Celebration of his life will be Reverend Terry Bailey, Reverend Chris Moore and Reverend Brad Schoeneck. The service will be held on Sunday, January 9th at 3:00 P.M. at Gateway Church, 1642 Hwy 12 South, in Ashland City, TN. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. There will be a private burial ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family of Reverend Miller ask that any donations be sent to the Aged Ministers Assistance of the Assemblies of God in honor of their dad.
