Marion Howton Reeks

February 18, 1926 — October 28, 2018

Marion Howton Reeks, age 92 passed away quietly at the Creekside Assisted Living Center in Murfreesboro on Sunday October 28, 2018. She was born on February 18, 1926 in Fayette, Alabama to the late George and Ruth (Jones) Howton. She is preceded in death by parents and husband Sam A. Reeks, Jr.

She attended The University of Alabama and Austin Peay State University. She married Sam in 1946 while they were both students at the University of Alabama. They moved together to Ashland City in 1950 and made lifelong friends. Together they had two children, Margo and Deck. Marion was an active member of the Ashland City United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter Margo of Mufreesboro, son Deck, daughter-in law Lisa, grandchildren Chloe, Julian and Abigail of New York. She lived her life with humor and a great ability to reach people in a positive way.

Visitation for Marion Reeks will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City on Thursday November 1st from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm with Dr. Tom Binford officiating. Following the service, there will be gathering at the Pinnacle Bank on Main St. until 4:00pm. All are invited.
