Kenneth “Kenny” Dwain Crossland, 58, of Ashland City, TN passed away on July 31, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his son, Ken Crossland; mother, Glenda Crossland; father, Ernest (Buddy) Crossland; sister, Kelley Crossland; and grandparents, Leon and Dora Scott, and Rev. Clifford Howard Crossland, Sr., and Laura Louise Jones Crossland.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Crossland, his daughter, Haley Crossland (Dylan Bess), and his two grandchildren, Knox and Aubree.

Kenny was born in Nashville, TN, on November 28th, 1965. He graduated from Portland High School and then attended MTSU. He married his wife on December 2nd, 1989, and shortly after, they were blessed with two children, Ken and Haley. He began his career with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in February of 1990, where he served as Warrant Officer II until he retired in 2018. During this time, he took great pride in his participation with the Special Operations Response Team, the Annual Nashville Christmas Parade, and Big Brothers Food Baskets. During his life, he dedicated his time to his family and the Sheriff’s Office, but also poured his heart into coaching football and baseball and mentoring many children along the way. He and Rhonda served as the Football and Cheer Directors with the Goodlettsville Trojans for 10 years at Moss Wright Park, where he also coached coed softball teams with his best friend Jeff Brake. He went on to coach football at TW Hunter Middle School and Beech High School, and he spent his free time enjoying hobbies such as golfing and bowling. During his retirement, he spent time enjoying his grandbabies and attending NASCAR races in Bristol with his long-time best friend, John Taylor.

His last days were spent at home surrounded by family and friends who showered him with love. He passed peacefully in his home with his wife by his side.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, from 10 AM until 1 PM, followed by a Memorial Service, Officiating the service will be Jeff Brake, with speakers John Taylor and John Estes, at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015. (615)792-4677
