James Charles Gardner

James Charles Gardner, age 85, of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his residence.

James was born on April 27, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Howard Gardner and Helen Pfister Gardner. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Maria Gardner; son, Christopher Gardner; brothers, Howard and Gary, and sisters, Nancy, and Carol. He is survived by his sons, Michael, James, Vincint, and Timothy Gardner; daughters, Kathy Becker, Sharon Gardner, Jamie Cox; and 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

James was a loving son, brother, husband, and father. He loved his family dearly and was a great storyteller. James liked the outdoors, especially fishing and canoeing and loved food and his snacks. He will be dearly missed and loved by all that know him. 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Friends and family will visit from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the Chapel of Boyd Funeral Home.
