James Ray Claxton

James Ray Claxton, age 77, of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

James was born on March 7, 1946, in Nashville, TN to the late Vernon Claxton and Edith Mae Black. I addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Claxton, and sisters, Shirley, Linda and Doris. He is survived by his sons, Justin Odom, Lance (Jesse) Claxton, Odell Odom, Robert (Wendy) Claxton; brother, Michael Black; sister, Lewanda (Bob) Schlag; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the chapel of Boyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
