Gerald Kenneth Smock

Gerald Kenneth Smock, age 86, of Ashland City, passed away on March 14th, 2025 at St. Thomas West Hospital. Mr. Smock was preceded in death by his parents Joe Amos Smock and Daisy Mai Smock and his infant brother Haywood (Julian) Smock. Mr. Smock is survived by his wife Wilmatean Smock, his son Gerald Lee (Rebecca) Smock, three grandchildren, and his sister Patricia Tidwell. Following his retirement from the Metro Nashville Government, Mr. Smock enjoyed spending time taking his boat to the river to fish and socializing with friends at the local market. Mr. Smock never met a stranger, he always enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Mr. Smock said he, “never caught a fish smaller than 12 inches long”.
