Franklin D. Bryant Sr. , age 84, of Ashland City, TN passed away on October 29, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Mr. Bryant was born in Nashville, TN on February 13, 1937 to the late Edward G. Bryant and Blanch Carney Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He served two tours in Vietnam later earning the rank of Master Sargent and working as Postal Chief of the Marine Corps at the Pentagon. He was an avid runner completing the the Music City Marathon and the Hawaiian Marathon several times. Mr. Bryant loved cars, car shows and owned a Desoto. He is survived by his sons; Franklin Bryant Jr. (Anne) of Springfield, TN, Edward Bryant of Ashland City, TN, Phillip Bryant (Gloria) of Mt. Juliet, TN; brothers, Raymond Bryant, Archie Bryant, Mertie Bryant, Tommy Bryant; grandchildren, Andrew Bryant, Zachary Bryant (Olivia), Kirsten Bryant, James Bryant, Phillip Bryant Jr., Michael Bryant (Alex); great grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, Raelynn, and Blakley. In addition to his parents Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his wife, Lorine Bryant; brothers, Walter Bryant and Jay Bryant; sisters Wilma Bryant and Grace Bryant. Mr. Bryant's wishes were to be cremated and inurned at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. A service with military honors will be scheduled at a later date. Please check back for updates.
