Ewell "Buddy" Maydell Hollis Jr.

Ewell “Buddy” Maydell Hollis Jr.– age 73 – Passed away on Saturday 28, 2020. Mr. Hollis was born in Nashville, TN on Saturday, April 26, 1947, to the late Ewell Maydell Hollis Sr. and Mrs. Rosa Leah (Cain) Hollis. He is survived by his sons Captain Ewell “Trey” Hollis III, Wayne Hollis, and John Hollis; daughters: Kristy (Mike) Anderson, and Vicki Manning, and his sister Rose Mary (Charles) Floyd. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister Gwendolyn Hudson, daughter Kimberly Jean Hollis and his son William Hollis. Mr. Hollis graduated in the class of 1965 from Stratford High School. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 40+ years of service. Ewell also proudly served in the United States Army. Visitation will be held at Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, December 4, 2020, from 11 am until the time of services. Services will be held from the Chapel of Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 1 pm with a burial to follow at Stewart Cemetery. Arrangements made by Boyd Funeral Home.
