Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Farmer Boyd, age 87, of Ashland City, TN will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Boyd Funeral Home In Ashland City, TN. Burial to follow in Ever Rest Cemetery in Pleasant View, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M., on Saturday at Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City, TN from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M., and on Sunday from 12 P.M. until the time of services. She passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at her daughter’s home. She was born March 13, 1932, in Robertson County, TN to the late Hassel Farmer and Lorene Elliott Farmer. She was married to the late Charles Leland Boyd. She worked as a seamstress, and was a member of the Ashland City Church of Christ. She taught children's Bible class, and was a member of Business and Professional Women and the Home Demonstration Club (FCE). She was also a member of the Ashland City Senior Center, and was a Cheatham County Fair Volunteer. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Brother: Joel Farmer; Sister: Nannie Lou Farmer Adcock; Twin Sister: Katherine Bell Farmer; Great Granddaughter: Melody Hope Notgrass; and Great Grandson: Avery John Notgrass. Survivors include 1 son: Stephen (Betsy) Boyd of Clarksville, TN; 1 daughter: Charlene (Ray) Notgrass of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Lavon (Billy) Sanders of Ashland City, TN; 4 Grandchildren: John (Audra) Notgrass, Bethany (Gregory) Poore, Mary Evelyn (Nate) McCurdy, and Ashley (Michael) Russo; 8 Great Grandchildren: Clara McCurdy, Henry Notgrass, Eva Poore, Wesley McCurdy, Toby Notgrass, Maria Poore, Peter McCurdy, and Thomas McCurdy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bro. Ray Notgrass will officiate the services. Donations may be made to the Senior Citizens Center of Ashland City.
