James Robert Moseley, age 83, died on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He is survived by his wife, Velma Moseley of Ashland City; son Marty (Mattie) Stroud of Ashland City; daughter Kathy (Steve) White of Lincoln, MO; grandchildren, Robbie Stroud, Stephanie Harris, Michael Stroud, Stacy Warren, Matthew Stroud, Susan Price, Steven White; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Austin and Nancy Knox Moseley; brothers Gilbert, Lewis and Ray Moseley; and sisters Hattie Mai Turns and Ollie Knox. Visitation was held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Boyd Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from noon until the service at 2 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Raper and Bro. Terry Forrest officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben Moseley, Jon Forrest, Lee Pickett, Bobby Ladd and Ronnie Brown. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of the Bethel FWB Church.
