David Ray Abernathy

David Ray Abernathy (Dave), 55, Mt. Juliet, TN Lost his fight with Cancer and went to Heaven, July 13, 2011. He was born in Nashville, TN to the late Thomas Edward Abernathy, Jr. and Lyla Ray Abernathy, Smithson. Dave graduated from White Haven, Memphis, TN, 1974. He was married to Christy McPherson, Abernathy (November 23, 2008). Dave worked in the printing industry for 30+ years where he was employed at R&S, Capitol Engraving, and NEC. He was a member of the River Rats, and was an active member of Friendship Community Church. He was survived by his children Tammy Bowers (Jason) of Murfreesboro, TN; Tara Abernathy (Wes Fort), of Pleasant View, TN; and 3 Step Children: Tannya Dougls; David Cunningham; and Tiffany Hemmer; His sister Denise Sandor (Marty); 2 Step Sisters, and 1 Step Brother; and 10 Grandchildren.
