Jerry Ray Bailes, MD, age 86 of Ashland City, TN died Monday, February 27, 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Beatrice Elliott, father Murray Marine Bailes, mother Audrey Santoro, two sons Christopher Elliott Bailes and Jerry David Bailes,SR., granddaughter Amanda Jennifer Woodman, first wife Delma Louise Bailes, and half brother Sam Cook. He is survived by his wife Regina Horton Bailes of Ashland City, TN, daughters Melinda Louise Bailes (Carolyn) of Nashville, TN and Stephanie Kathrine Fussell (Jim) of Texarkana, TX, step sons Mark Wayne Horton (Lisa) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Alan Wade Horton (Marilyn) of Ashland City, TN and Adam Troy Horton of Ashland City, TN. Grandchildren Dallas Elliott Bailes, MD, James Aubrey Fussell III (Tripp), Jerry David Bailes, JR, and Emily Louise Bailes, Channing Elizabeth Horton, Sarah Bailes and Sydney Bailes, great grandchildren Anna Kathrine Jordan, Sarah Jane Woodman and Drew Woodman. Half sister, Patricia Ann Humphries (George) of Austin, TX. Special friends Dot Williford, Roger and Carol Brower and Dwayne Cannon. Visitation will be held at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday February 29, 2012 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 9 a.m. -11 a.m. Funeral services for Jerry Ray Bailes, MD. will be from the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Fred Mayberry officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2012 from 9 am til memorial service at 1 p.m. at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, Tx. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Stigler High School Program, Stigler, OK. The family entrusted the Boyd Funeral Home Ashland City, TN 37015 with the arrangements.
