Wayne Simpson Reid

Wayne Simpson Reid, age 72, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents John S. and Margaret Yoder Reid; sons Ronald Wayne and Wayne Simpson Reid and daughter Linda Ruth Reid. He is survived by his wife Laura Ann Reid of Joelton, TN; daughter Donna Marie Reid Kilkelly of Nashville, TN; brothers John Bruce Reid and Harold Lee Reid both of Hickory, NC; grandchild Lachlan Reid Kilkelly of Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family was held at Boyd Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory, NC on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Winkers Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Hickory, NC. The family entrusted Boyd Funeral Home with the arrangements.
