James Patrick Dwyer

James Patrick Dwyer age 92 was born on June 27, 1920 to parents William and Bessie (Linn) Dwyer in Nashville, Tn. He died on December 8, 2012 at his home in Ashland City. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife Georgia Pauline Dwyer, daughter Linda Gail McCool, brother Tommy Dwyer, and sisters Mildred Sikora, Elgin Clinard, Vera Kelly and Dorothy Hayes. He is survived by sons James Patrick Dwyer, Jr., William Michael (Melody) Dwyer, Danny Lynn (Caroline) Dwyer, daughters Peggy Jean (Billy Ray) Hunter, Kathy Diana (Bob) McDonald, Susan Elaine (Harland) Krantz and Elgin Darlene Dwyer. James has a brother Bill (Patti) Dwyer, twenty four grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. He retired from Rock Products as a VP, and farmed for many years after that. He was President of the F.A.R.M. food fair of middle Tn.James was long time member of the Ashland City Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation for James Dwyer will be at the Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City on Wednesday December 12th from 11am - 8pm. And on Thursday the 13th from 10am - 1pm. The Funeral Service for James Patrick Dwyer will be from the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 1:00pm with Rev. Barry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the Dwyer family cemetery in Ashland City. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in honor of James Dwyer be made to the Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tn.
