John Martin Balthrop

John Martin Balthrop age 82 of Ashland City died at his residence on Tuesday January 1, 2013. He was the son of Zealous and Ruthie Lou (Winters) Balthrop. He is survived by one son Daryl (Carol) Balthrop of Ashland City, daughters Sherry (Kenneth) Woelk of Ashland City and Rhonda (Darrell) Bowery of Pleasant View, he also had two sisters Muriel Davis of Adams, TN and Sue Boyd of Ashland City, Tn.,two grandchildren Nikki (Jeremy) Mayo and Wesley Mayo, two great grandchildren Austin and Aspen Morris. John Martin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Jane Balthrop, sons Johnny and Vaughn Balthrop, and brothers J.C. and Russell Balthrop. Visitation for John Martin will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, on Thursday January 3rd from 5 - 8pm, on Friday the 4th from 1 - 8pm and on Saturday the 5th from 9 -11am. The Funeral Service for John Martin Balthrop will be in the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 11:00am with Bro. Wayne Bess officiating. Burial will follow at the Ever Rest of Cheatham Memorial Gardens in Pleasant View with Military Honors. Pallbearers will include nephews Jimmy and Sammy Balthrop, Mike and John Robert Davis, and Ronnie and Timmy Balthrop, with Honorary Pallbearers Jerry Balthrop, Preston Balthrop and Walter Carter.
