Stewart L. Hudspeth age 62 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2013. Stew loved the Lord God with all his heart, all his soul and all his mind and loved his neighbor as himself. Having battled alcoholism and homelessness, Stew had a difficult start in life, but for the past twenty two years, he was sober, serene and dedicated to helping his fellow man, especially other recovering alcoholics. He was loved by all who really knew him. Had he stayed two more days on this earth, he would have been married for 17 years to his wife, Virginia Hudspeth, also known as Jennie and affectionately called Punkin by Stew. He is also survived by his daughter Tammy Webb, son Stewart L. Hudspeth, JR. grandson Gage Webb, granddaughter Olivia Webb, all of Newport, TN. He is further survived by his niece Nikki (Casey) Reddiker of La Vergne, TN and his former sister in law Linda Newman. The visitation and funeral service Stewart L. Hudspeth was held on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City, where Pastor Loyd Maybry officiated. Burial followed at the Middle Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery in Pegram where Pastor Robert Wilson lead the closing prayer. Friends served as Pallbearers. Stew had some favorite expressions that were all well known to all that knew him, such as: Read my lips! Smile, look up, somebody loves you, and so do I. Don't give up for the miracle for the next five minutes! And I'm just a casual observer of life. So, smile, Stew, you are now with somebody who loves you and so do we! Rest well, good and faithful servant!
