Essie Virginia Miles

Essie Virginia Miles 93 of Ashland City passed away on Friday May 3, 2013 at the Ridge Top Haven health Care Center in Goodlettsville, Tn. She was born in Ashland City on May 14, 1919 to parents Elijah and Susie Mae (Knox) Harris. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Washington Miles, brothers James E. Harris and Thomas Harris, and son James Williams Miles. Essie is survived by her brother Willie Frank (Lanelle) Harris, sister Charlie Mae Pardue, grandchildren Jay Lindsey(Kelly) Miles, Pamela (Ed) Sparks, and Steve Wayne (Tammy) Miles, great grandchildren Cooper R. Miles, Austin Reese Miles, Emily (Brad) Johnson, Andrew Sparks, Steven Miles and Christy Miles. Visitation for Essie Miles will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday May 7th from 3-8pm and on Wednesday from 9-11am. The funeral service for Essie Miles will be in the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 11:00am with Bro. Terry Forrest and Bro. Barry Raper officiating. Burial will follow at the Stewart Cemetery on Mosley ferry Rd. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in honor of Essie Miles be made to the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
