Betty Nell Lowe age 51, of Powell, Tn. who was a long time personal assistant of Senator Howard Baker, Jr., went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family and friends on Friday August 16, 2013, at the University of Tennessee Hospital. Betty was born on July 25, 1962 in Davidson Co, Tn. to the late Sheriff Lesley H. and Lydia Lee Binkley. She grew up in Ashland City and was a graduate of Cheatham Co. High School and the University of Tennessee. Betty will always be remembered for her love of life, kind heart and infectious laugh. She is survived by her children, loving daughter, Lydia Lynn Lowe, and son and source of joy, Kevin Eric Lowe. Also brothers Lesley H. (Nancy) Binkley, Jr. of Memphis, Tommy A. (Norma) Binkley of Ashland City, nieces Kathryn and Beth, nephews Will, Les lll, Will, beloved aunts Betty Jane Ross and Maurine Dunning, as well as many cousins and cherished friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm Sunday August 18, at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home. On Monday visitation with the family will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, from 5:00-7:00pm. The Graveside Service for Betty Nell Lowe will be held at the Bethlehem Cemetery, Hwy. 12 in Ashland City, on Tuesday August 20, 2013 at 10:00am.
