Joseph D. Grice

Joseph Donald Grice 78 of Ashland City died at his home on Sunday October 13, 2013 with many of his family with him. He was born on August 23, 1935 to parents William and Cora (Curtis) Grice in Waverly, Tn. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy M. Grice, Daughter Sandra D. Grice, brother Billy Grice, sisters Peggy Grice, Juanita Mullinax, Elizabeth Grice, and grandson Adam Grice. He is survived by sons Herman V. (Penny) Grice, William H. (Betsy) Grice, Raymond L. Grice and Joseph K. (Tonya) Grice, Sr, daughter Marie (Terry) Dill, brother Archie Grice, sisters Willie Ruth Madden, Gladys Black, Mae Fortner, Suzie Hollis, Jean Tomlinson and Doris Williams. Joseph had thirteen grandchildren Melissa Rowland, Joshua Hunter, Beth Mayberry, Samantha Cruse, Michael Anderson, Julie Dill, Joshua Freeman, Sebastian Steele, Brittney Grice, Angie Manier, Kayla Grice, Joseph K. Grice, Jr., and Reagan Mapes, and ten great grandchildren. He served in the United States Army and later was a bridge construction engineer. Visitation for Joseph Grice will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, on Monday October 14th from 3-8pm, Tues. from 3-8pm and on Wed. morning from 10-12 noon. The funeral service for Joseph Donald Grice will be held in the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 12:00pm with Bro. Jim Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Felts Cemetery in Ashland City.
