James Jackson Jack' Cannon, 79 of Ashland City died on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Jack was born on November 09, 1934 to parents James and Thelma (Ennis) Cannon in Thomasville, TN. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Rita Hudgens. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Bonny Cannon, sons Anthony Scott (Karen) Cannon, Jason Eric (Sandy) Cannon, daughter Jackie Lee (Charlie) Simpkins, grandchildren Gabrielle Cannon, Caleb Simpkins, Erick Cannon, Bonny Kate Simpkins, Lily Cannon, Helen Cannon, Jack Cannon, Katheryn Cannon and David Cannon. Jack served his country in the United States Air Force, he then retired after 42 years from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering, and served his church many years as a Deacon and trustee. Visitation for Jack Cannon will be at the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church in Ashland City on Thursday January 16 from 3-8pm and on Friday from 10-11am. The service for James Jackson Jack' Cannon will be at the church at 11:00am with Bro. Randy Corn officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery on Hwy. 12.
