Verlie Odell Craft-87 of Nashville died at her home on Wednesday May 14, 2014. She was born on September 2, 1926 to parents Clarence and Lena (Fowler) Spann in Charlotte, TN. Verlie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cheatham Craft, son Ronnie Craft, daughters Shirley Craft, Pamela Slayden, grandsons Clinton Slayden and James Daniels. She is survived by her son Michael Craft, daughter Connie Craft Daniels, brother Ray (Dot) Spann, sisters Verna Price, Loretta Hamilton, Barbara (Aubrey) Suiter, Lucille Garrett, four grandchildren Brandy Daniels, Constance Minis, Christina (Lee) Weissinger, Angela (Davie) McKinzie, and eleven great grandchildren Cherris & Blessing Minis, Bret Lanier Slayden, Jett, Nicholas, & Aleigha Weissinger, Jr. & Madelyn Pilfrey, and Cohen, India & Talen McKinzie. Verlie retired as an operator with Bell South phone company. Visitation for Verlie Craft was on Friday May 16, 2014 at the Boyd Funeral Home from 10-12noon. Her funeral service followed at noon with Sister Pam Nosbusch officiating. Verlie Craft was buried at the Harpeth Hills Cemetery in Nashville that afternoon at 2pm.
