Marcene O. Simpson- 88

Marcene O. Best Simpson age 88 of Ashland City, TN died on Monday November 3, 2014 at the Christian Care Nursing Home in Ashland City. Marcene was born in Texas on April 12, 1926 to parents Evan and Trannie (Allison) Best. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years J.D. "Jimmy" Simpson, and daughter Jadene Magill. She is survived by two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. Marcene served her country overseas during WWll as a WAC in the US Army. Later she and her husband lived in Alaska. She also, having her pilots license, enjoyed flying. Visitation for Marcene will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday from 3-7:30pm and on Friday from 10 till time of service at 11am. Bro. Jerry Gaw will officiate the service and Burial for Marcene O. Simpson will follow at the Middle TN. Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN.
