Delmer Ray McCarver -76 of Chapmansboro, TN passed away on Monday April 20, 2015 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Delmer was born in Neptune, TN on October 22, 1938 to parents James F. and Stella Mae (Forbes) McCarver. He retired after 44 years with the Tennessee Department of Transportation rising from a truck driver in 1958 to the Superintendent of Maintenance for Davidson and Williamson Counties at his retirement. Delmer is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years Madolyn McCarver, sons Rodney Dale (Crystal) McCarver and Kerry (Debby) McCarver, brother Carl McCarver, grandchildren Shaxper Miles McCarver, Chaucer "Saucer" Poe McCarver, Zachary (Natalie) Reese McCarver, Mari Elizabeth McCarver, Anthony Eugene Spalding, and Timothy Osiborski, great grandchildren MacKenzie Grace McCarver, Brayden Troy Lemmonds, Landon Paul Gauge Spalding and Lily Raelyn Osiborski. Visitation for Delmer McCarver will be at the Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City on Wednesday April 22, 2015 from 4 - 8pm and Thursday from 10am till time of service at 1:00pm, with Pastor Gene Parton officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery on Hwy. 12 N. in Ashland City.
