Andrew Todd Powers, 47 of Ashland City, passed away in his home on Sunday January 10, 2016. He was born on April 25, 1968 to parents James B. and Doye (Latimer) Powers in Nashville, TN. Todd was preceded in death by his father James Powers and step fathers Bob Turner and Harvey Latimer. He is survived by his Mother Doye Powers, wife Holly Powers, daughters Hannah and Anna Powers, brother Frankie Powers, sister Mary (Mike) Glasgow, and grandson James Evan Powers. Todd enlisted in the Army National Guard on April 25, 1985 with Co. C' in Springfield, Tn. He has made two tours in Iraq. Todd was recently promoted to Sgt. Major. His military awards include the Order of St. George, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Awards, and multiple Army Commendations. Visitation for Andrew Todd Powers will be at the Boyd Funeral on Wednesday January 13th from 4-8pm. On Thursday the 14th, the visitation and funeral service for Todd Powers will be in the Tn. National Guard Armory building on Hwy. 12 in Ashland City from 9:00 - 11:00am, with the service beginning at 11am. Following the service we will proceed to the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram for full military honors and internment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sgt.
