Dorothye Byrd -79

Dorothye (Dot) Ann Byrd, 79, passed away peacefully in her Ashland City, Tennessee home on Monday February 1, 2016. Dot, formerly of Sparta, Tennessee, was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked for Kermit C. Stengel Company for a number of years. A talented painter with a green thumb, Dot was a certified Master Gardener and volunteered much of her time after retirement to the Cheatham County Public Library and the Tennessee Greenways Projects. She is preceded in death by her sons Eric and Wray; she is survived by her daughter Love, granddaughter Brittany, brothers Jim Goff, Gil Lamb and Dr. M. Ray Lamb, sister Bitsy Jones, and her long time companion, Ronnie Daughtery. In keeping with Dot's wishes, her memorial service will be private.
