Houston Brown Allison

Mr. Houston Brown Allison; of Chapmansboro, TN; Age 91; Passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Allison was born on October 20, 1924 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry O. & Nannie May (Oaks) Allison.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son David Brown; brother Jess Allison; as well as his brother-in-law Charles Lawson. Mr. Allison is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Mrs. Ruth True Allison of Chapmansboro, TN; daughters Pam Allison, Connie Roberts, and Tamm Boyte all of Chapmansboro, TN; brothers Bob Allison (Carol) of Portland, TN, and Ronnie Allison (Sue) of Gallatin, TN; sister Mildred Annette Lawson of Brentwood, TN; 5 grandchildren Stacey Allison, Kathy Whittenburg, Kristin Margeson, Faith Boyte, and Trey Boyte; as well as his 2 great grandchildren Michael and Danie. Mr. Allison proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.  Later in life he worked in management at Acme Boot until his retirement in 1983. Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 4 – 8 PM at Boyd Funeral Home & again on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 11 – until time of service at the Gateway Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held at the Gateway Assembly of God Church on Monday, October 17, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, TN. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the fund set up for his great grandchildren in care of Community Bank – 575 S Main Street – Ashland City, TN 37015.
