Linda Sue Honeycutt, 66 of Charlotte, TN. passed away on Monday April 3, 2017 at her home. She was born in Erin, TN on September 6, 1950 to the late Vernon B. Claxton and Edith May (Schmittou) Black. Linda held a very strong work ethic. It was important to her that she be able to provide for her family. She was most recently employed at the Cracker Barrel in West Nashville where she worked for many years. Her family describes her as the sweetest woman in the world. Linda is survived by her son Jerry Honeycutt ll and his fiance Jennifer Earps of Ashland City, daughters Michelle (Scott) Simmons of Ashland City, Danielle Reeves of Charlotte, TN. and Kelly Lee of Ashland City, brothers James Claxton of McComb, IL, and Michael Black of Ashland City, sister Lawanda (Bob) Schlag of Pond Eddy, NY, and five grandchildren John and Joshua McQuiston, Jacob and Trevor Honeycutt and Michael Miner. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her best friend and the father of her children, Jerry Honeycutt l, sisters Shirley Claxton and Doris Claxton and grandson Joseph Honeycutt. Visitation with friends and family will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, TN 37015 on Thursday April 6th from 4:30pm till the time of her Memorial Service at 7:30pm.
